Not Happy Jul 22, 2010 I bought this pedal hoping it would help me tune with ease. Turns out it wont even read the top 2 strings of my 5 string bass. First chance i get i am trading this piece of junk in and buying a better tuning pedal. For now i will have to use my $5 tuner that actually works.
Behringer tu300 tuner May 26, 2010 This tuner is GREAT ... I read a review that this tuner was not as quick as a Boss tuner, not True ... It does take about 6 seconds to "warm-up" from when you first plug in your guitar chord ... but after that ... it works great. I had a Boss tuner that died on me, and I could not see paying $100.00+ for another one at this time ... I'm glad I brought the Behringer TU300 ... Get one! you'll love it!!!!!!
bad item Apr 15, 2010 this product is not that good , it does not work at it supposed to work but you can use it. But if you ask me if I recommend this? I won't!! you should get something else
Great Tuner - Great Price Apr 09, 2010 After I got past the plastic housing and difficult to access battery compartment (I have since bought a 1 Spot...awsome!) the pedal works great. Some reviews talk about slow response...I play bass and have experienced that on the Low B and E. It seems to work and respond better after it "warms up". Does not make sense to me, but after the first couple songs the unit seems to respond quicker.
For 30 bucks you can't beat it...but I can see where battery use and gigging heavy would cause some issues.
Good tuner for the money Feb 15, 2010 I'm a bass player by trade and I already have a tuner I use on stage, I bought this for a little guitar rig I was assembling to play at home, or for friends to play. It tunes pretty accurately, and the LEDs are nice and bright, especially the blue "in tune" light. I don't think anyone would have any problems seeing that, even if you were playing outside.
If you are the kind of guy that throws your pedal down stairs, spring for the Boss tuner. This is plastic, and I wouldn't expect it to stand up to tons of abuse. That said, I have another Behringer pedal of the same construction that I use on stage, and it has been fine. I keep my pedals in an enclosed pedal case, and that's the only way I transport them.
If it broke really soon, I'd probably just get a higher quality pedal, but if it lasts a year or two, I'd probably get a new one. For what I'm using it for it does a great job, and it didn't cost me $100.
